Driving Miss CJ

Driving Miss CJ

I was so excited to be able to pick up Miss CJ in my New 2012 Buick LaCrosse. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and I had been promising Miss CJ that I would pick her up one day and take her sightseeing. She wanted to see summer in full swing as well as the many changes in the communities of our county. She thought I was stopping by in my older car and she was a little bewildered when this gorgeous Gold Buick pulled up to her front door.

I stepped out and was thrilled to see the smile on Miss CJ's face. At 92 years young, I was picking up one of the grandest ladies I know in style. Of course I had to walk her all arouind the LaCrosse. I told her about the many safety features the LaCrosse had such as the rear vision camera, 4 wheel antilock brakes, stabiliTrak control system, air bags, and daytime running lamps.

She was ready to slide into the front seat of a luxurious leather interior. I laughed when this 92 year old wanted to know if the LaCrosse had the SiriusXM Satellite radio system. Of course it does and I proceeded to find her favorite music from the 50's. I found a great channel playing the Everly Brothers singing Bye Bye Love and other songs from that era. Talk about great music.

We drove arouind the county for over two hours taking in all sorts of sights. The feel of the car was magnificant as well as the comfort. Miss CJ commented quite a few times about the quality inside the vehicle and how comfortable the seats were.

We pulled up to a quaint restaurant called Buckeye Jake's that used to be a home. It was built around 1875 and has been well preserved. The owners greeted us, the staff was very good, and we had a wonderful lunch. This was a perfect stop for a perfect day.

Having thought Miss CJ would be weary after riding around for a couple hours I was pleasantly surprised when she asked if I would take her out to the newly renovated covered bridge. She had many memories of that area and shared many stories on the ride there and back. What a great day with a great lady. I pulled up to her home, went around to help her out and again she commented about the comfortable ride. She was thrilled, I was thrilled, and I am sure I will be thrilled with my New Buick LaCrosse for years to come.

See you Soon!
