September 11
The year will never matter. The same thoughts will go through our minds on this day, September 11th. Do you remember where you were when you first heard of the four suicide attacks on United States soil?
I remember my first thoughts; "This cannot be happening". Not only did this day bring a somber reminder of how quickly our lives can change, but it also showed us that we Americans will not and can not be bullied. We are true survivors and will prove over and over again that no matter what hardship may fall, we will rise above it.
I traveled to New York City one month after the attacks. Even after all of these years I can still feel the overall sadness, smell the stench , and remember every step I took around the towers. The bold witness of the American people was so evident there in New York City.
I was then, more than ever, proud to be an American. All of us at Rodney Cobb Chevrolet Buick GMC offer up prayers on behalf of those that lost their lives that day, the heroes, and the families.
